Chase the Dark is the global event encouraging every lighting enthusiast to play with light! This unique, 24-hour celebration follows the rising sun as it "chases" the darkness westward from one side of the International Date Line to the other.

Now in its 11th year, lighting designers, students, and enthusiasts worldwide join in a creative activity around the theme of 'Upcycling,' which refers to using and reusing "found materials" for a new and possibly even better purpose.

We'll be using these materials to create tea lights, and share our results with the global community though the #IALDChaseDark hashtag on social media!
