Educator Travel Stipends

In an ongoing effort to ensure the future of the architectural lighting design profession, the IALD Education Trust Travel Stipend Program enables lighting students and educators from across the world to attend key industry events, seminars, and conferences, such as IALD Enlighten Americas, IALD Enlighten Europe, LightFair, and a variety of international trade shows.

The 2025 Stipend Program

All educators currently teaching post-secondary courses in lighting design are invited to apply for an IALD Education Trust Travel Stipend to attend a one-day workshop on Thursday, 9 October, and receive one (1) complimentary registration for the complete IALD Enlighten Americas 2025 conference experience from 9 to 11 October. 

Workshop participants will facilitate the development of new programs and resources for students and educators by providing insight into topics such as content development, outreach, community building, and the future of lighting design education. 

Selected applicants will receive one (1) complimentary EA25 conference registration, four (4) nights of hotel accommodation, and funding to offset travel costs.

Applications are accepted through 4 August 2025. Selected applicants will be notified by the end of August.
