INFORMATION ON ADDITIONAL ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND STIPENDS

Throughout each year, the IALD Education Trust offers a variety of scholarships and stipends.

In the spring, the Trust offers a stipend to attend LIGHTFAIR International. The deadline for this for 2012 has passed.

During the summer, the Trust offers multiple stipends to industry events. IALD Enlighten Americas and the Landscape Lighting Institute have been included in the past, and students are also welcome to propose their own lighting-related activities for consideration. More information on these stipends for 2012 will be posted on this page as soon as they are available.

The IALD Education Trust has also reached out to theatrical lighting design students by offering them a stipend to attend IALD Enlighten Americas, and hopes to do so again in the future.

The IALD Education Trust has also provided the Thomas M. Lemons Scholarship, a scholarship intended to financially assist an outstanding junior-, senior- or graduate-level student who is committed to studying and practicing in the field of architectural lighting design in the United States. To read Thomas M. Lemons' biography, CLICK HERE, and check this page for more information later in 2012.
