The IALD Education Trust is pleased to accept applications for the 2010 IALD Education Trust Scholarship Program. Applications are due 12 Februrary 2010. Applicants for the scholarships must be students who are pursuing architectural lighting design as a course of study. Applicants will be judged on grades, extracurricular activities, a portfolio of work, a personal statement as well as professional recommendations.
The IALD Education Trust is pleased to offer multiple scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 USD for undergraduate and graduate students involved in the study of architectural lighting design. In 2009, the IALD Education Trust awarded over $26,000 USD in scholarships to students from across the globe. To see a list of past scholarship recipients click here.
The IALD Education Trust Scholarship Program includes scholarships made possible through individual donations and also from sponsors who have made a commitment to lighting design education by sponsoring a scholarship :

- Beyond Illumination Scholarship sponsored by Philips Lighting Electronics
- Lighting Design Alliance Scholarship
THOMAS M. LEMONS SCHOLARSHIP
The IALD Education Trust is pleased to announce the Thomas M. Lemons Scholarship (TMLS) established through the lighting design firm Available Light. The winning recipient of the TMLS will be awarded $4,000 to assist with expenses such as tuition, room and board & books. This student must be a United States citizen and be committed to studying and practicing in the field of architectural lighting design in the United States.
The scholarship will be awarded in May 2010, with the winning recipient announced at the IALD Education Trust Benefit Dinner at LIGHTFAIR International in Las Vegas, NV USA.
Available Light encourages other companies and individuals in the industry to support lighting education by contributing to the scholarship. For more information on the scholarship or to donate, please contact the IALD office at iald@iald.org.

Stipend includes: Class fee + funds to offset travel, bed & breakfast accommodations, and meals
This 5-day, 5-night comprehensive landscape lighting experience, taught by Janet Lennox Moyer, IALD author of ""The Landscape Lighting Book,"" includes a full-scale mockup of the Gardens at Dog Park using all major manufacturers' equipment.

Enlighten Americas offers an intimate venue with 250+ lighting designers, architects, engineers, and manufacturers. Daily seminars, split into three tracks, focus on design methodology, business development, and current issues impacting the lighting industry. Evening networking dinners and the optional Student Portfolio Showcase, allow ample interaction with IALD members, and the potential to discuss post-graduation and internship employment.
