An important IALD function is keeping its members abreast of trends which impact lighting designers - these trends can be relevant to style, function or operation of the designer's business.

In order to best serve the professionals of our dynamic industry in areas concerning business operations, in 2006 the IALD initiated a compensation & workforce study.

The results were published in the first edition of the workforce study. The survey is to be conducted every other year so that we may track trend data related to employers operations.
