All proceeds from the sale of LET THERE BE LIGHT will benefit the IALD Education Trust and its efforts to support architectural lighting design education.

USITT COMMISSIONER'S GRANT ENABLES IALD EDUCATION TRUST TO SUPPORT ATTENDANCE OF THEATRICAL LIGHTING DESIGN STUDENTS TO IALD ENLIGHTEN AMERICAS The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) has announced the IALD Education Trust as the recipient of its $7,000 USD Commissioner's Grant. The USITT Commissioners Grant will allow the IALD Education Trust to support the attendance of ten theatrical lighting design students at IALD Enlighten Americas 2011, providing students with exposure to the architectural lighting design profession and allowing them an opportunity to network with architectural lighting designers, participate in hands-on workshops and receive portfolio reviews.

IALD AND THE INSTITUTION OF LIGHTING PROFESSIONALS [ILP] ANNOUNCE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING IN SUPPORT OF LIGHTING DESIGN The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in January 2011 to work cooperatively toward developing the architectural lighting design profession and elevating awareness of quality lighting. The MOU emphasizes the need to demonstrate cooperative collaboration within the lighting profession.
