MEMBER NEEDS SURVEY AVAILABLE NOW

On 19 February, IALD launched its biennial Member Needs Survey. The survey is fielded to over 4,000 lighting design professionals around the world, and marks an important opportunity for lighting designers to speak out on the progress of the association in supporting the profession. The survey is open to current and former IALD members, as well as nonmember lighting designers. If you fit the bill, but didn't get the link, please let us know.


SAVE THE DATE FOR CHASE THE DARK 2015

It's official - the international lighting community will once again "Chase the Dark" on 1 October 2015.
Each year, IALD members create temporary lighting displays during a 24 hour period as the sun sets westward across the globe in an event generously sponsored by acdc LED. The results are captured via social media to display the creativity and diversity of the lighting deisgn profession. Mark your calendars!

At a presentation on 4 June 2014, held in conjunction with the 2014 IALD Education Trust Benefit Dinner, the IALD announced the winners of the 31st Annual IALD International Lighting Design Awards, including the prestigious IALD Radiance Award for Excellence in Lighitng Design. A team of London-based lighting designers from the firm Speirs + Major took home the Radiance Award for their work on In Lumine Tuo, in Utrecht, The Netherlands [pictured right].
